The history of our founder, Cardinal Thomas Tien Ken-Sin:

1890/10/24 Born in Zhangqiu, Shantung, China. He was weak and frail as a child, and his father passed away when he was age 8. Baptized age 12.
1918/06/09 Ordained in Yanzhou, Shantung
1931/03/07 Joined SVD
1939/10/29 Consecrated Bishop
1940/12/23 Founded the congregation of Sisters of Our Lady of China in Chaocheng, in the Yanggu Diocese, Shantung.
1946/02/18 Named first Asian Cardinal by Pope Pius XII
1967/07/24 Passed away
